Brief Description
The Unity Sacred Service Award is an effort to honor local organizations or individuals for their service to the community while introducing them to the congregation for inspiring support and outreach.
Purpose
The purpose of the Unity Sacred Service Award is to both honor organizations who positively impact the local community and bring awareness to these organization among the congregation. Additionally, there is an opportunity to nurture these connections for future projects in areas of outreach, community engagement, etc.
How Does It Work?
Every year, the congregation at Unity of New Braunfels nominates organizations and individuals who serve the local and broader community.
From the nominees, one or more organizations or individuals are selected for the award.
Information from the organizations and individuals are gathered, such as
Promotional videos
Information packets
The Unity Sacred Service Award is produced for all awardees.
The award is handed over to the organization’s representative or the individual together with a $200 check.
The handing over is video recorded.
Both the promotional video and the video of handing over the award is edited and showed to the congregation.
