Ministerial Training Scholarship

Scope

  • The scope of the Ministerial Training Scholarship applies to the upcoming year of ministerial training.

  • The total amount available is determined by the USCR board of trustees each year. Such determined amount is equally divided by all accepted applicants.

  • Applicants may apply for a scholarship each year.

Eligibility Requirements

  • Applicants must be currently residing in the region.

  • Applicants must be actively serving a Unity ministry in the region.

  • Applicants must be accepted to Unity’s ordination path.

  • Applicants must have completed their first progress interview.

  • Applicants are current students of Unity Worldwide Ministries (UWSI) or the Unity Urban Ministerial School (UUMS) as either part-time or full-time ministerial students, or they are enrolled in the Field Licensing Program (FLP).

  • Applicants are currently enrolled in at least two courses of the UWSI or UUMS program, or they have completed their first 10-day intensive.

Proof of Eligibility

  • A letter from your minister in the ministry you serve, explaining that you are actively serving in that ministry and in what capacity. If there is no minister leading the ministry, a UWM-approved spiritual leader or ministry coordinator may sign the letter. In the absence of all and in the case you are the spiritual leader of that ministry, a signed letter from the board president will suffice.

  • Your admissions letter showing that you were admitted to the ordination path, blocking out any personal information or feedback.

  • Your last progress interview report showing that you are in good standing, blocking out any personal information or feedback.

  • Proof of registration that you are enrolled in at least two classes for the current or next quarter/semester. This can be a letter from the registrar of your school or a simple screenshot of your registration. If you are in the Field Licensing Program, proof of having attended the last 10-day intensive will suffice.
