Rev. Joanne Burns

Rev. Joanne Burns is a Unity Worldwide Ministries Ministry Wellness Consultant and Bridge Interim Minister. She is currently supporting the interim transitional process at Unity Center of Tulsa, OK. Joanne went through the Field Licensing Program becoming an Ordained Unity Minister for pulpit ministry and holds a second ministry specialty of Youth & Family Ministry. Many years prior to ministerial school, she completed her Licensed Unity Teacher in Adult Education, Licensed Unity Teacher in Youth Direction, and Certified Spiritual Educator. In her 25 years working within Unity centers, Joanne has served Unity ministries in the capacity of Senior Minister, Associate Minister, Ministry Development, Office Manager, and Youth & Family Ministry Director. In addition, Joanne worked as a consultant for the South Central Region and "yfm mentor". She founded a Unity Alternative online ministry called "SPARK! Ministries" geared toward introducing Unity, Religious Science, and New Thought principles to seekers of all ages. Her previous career included commercial photography & videography, marketing, and advertising.

Joanne currently serves on the UWM Evolving Ministries Team. She has served UWM in the areas of Leadership Development & Recruitment (LRDT), Education Services Team, I.Y.O.U. Head Sponsor, Y.O.U. Conference Head Sponsor, and Peace by Piece International Y.O.U. Head Sponsor. Joanne is a contributing writer to multiple UWM manuals over the years.

She resides in New Mexico with her husband and pets where she practices Transcendental Meditation, tends her garden, and spends time in nature when not doing ministry in the virtual realm or traveling to Unity ministries coast to coast.
